Fr. Jeff was ordained 16 May 1991, by John Charles Reiss, Eighth Bishop of Trenton, Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, Trenton.
Fr. Jeff holds several degrees: a Bachelor of Arts (BA) History [Concentration: American Diplomatic History], Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Arts (MA) Catholic Thought and Life [Philosophy and Theology] all from St. Meinrad School of Theology, St. Meinrad, Indiana; and Master of Theology (ThM) History/Ecumenics & Missiology-Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, NJ.
His ministerial service is extensive and diverse with highlights as Pastor of his childhood church, The Church of Saint Joachim, Trenton, New Jersey. His responsibility grew in 2005 as he was appointed Founding Pastor, Our Lady of the Angels Parish [formed through the merging of Immaculate Conception Parish 1875 and Saint Joachim Parish 1901]. Weekend Assistant - Fr. Victor Hoagland
Father Victor Hoagland @vhoagland is a Passionist priest, a member of Immaculate Conception community in Jamaica, New York. He preaches parish missions and retreats for priests, religious and laity throughout the United States and also is involved in publishing material pertaining to the Passionists and their ministry.
He's also working on a new website on the Passion of Jesus Christ http://www.passionofchrist.us
Among his books, writings and tapes are: Following Jesus Christ, The Book of Saints, Daily Prayers, Pilgrim Churches of Rome, The Stations of the Cross.
On most weekends Father Victor helps out at The Parish of Saint Mary in Colts Neck, New Jersey.
Deacon Fred has been a member of St. Mary's for more than 25 years. He has been married to Ottilie for over fifty years, and they have been blessed with two daughters, one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren. A graduate of Rutgers University, Fred served in the Bayonne Police Department for 27 years.
He has been an active member of the Prison Ministry for many years. He began to feel the Lord calling him to the Diaconate. After a year of prayer and discernment, he trained in Trenton for 3 years and was ordained a permanent deacon on May 14, 2005.
Deacon Vin serves the Parish of Saint Mary assisting at Mass and funerals as well with Baptism and Marriage preparation. He has been married to Catherine for over 35 years and they are blessed with two daughters and one granddaughter: Dominique (married to Mike LaCava III and their daughter Giovanna Rose), and Victoria.
He holds a degree in Marketing Management and has an extensive background in business and parish work as well as being a certified VIRTUS (protection of children) and FOCCUS (marriage preparation) facilitator, as well as CRE (Coordinator of Religious Education).
Ordained on May 14, 2005 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Trenton he feels truly blessed to call St. Mary's his home
