Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. Whether administered to infants or adults, Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God.
BAPTISMS ARE PERFORMED
Immediately following the Sunday Masses except during Advent season and Lent season.
REQUIREMENTS FOR BAPTISMS1. Must be a Registered Active parishioner of Saint Mary
GUIDELINES FOR BAPTISMS
2. Must attend a Baptism Preparation Session
1. Families are to attend Mass (depending on the time assigned to your family).
2. Parents, with child, godparents and families arrive at the church no later than 15 minutes before Mass time.
3. The second and third row pews are reserved with your family name.
4. At the conclusion of the Mass, the liturgy of Baptism will begin.
5. Photography is allowed and encouraged but MUST be done reverently and discretely.Contact the Parish Office to check availability and register for a Baptism Date.
Baptismal Sponsor Requirements Baptism Guidelines Make an Offering
We are now offering Baptismal Preparation Sessions on the first Sunday of the month. Parents are to attend Mass and meeting afterwards.
RSVP is needed in advance to register for these sessions.

Baptism Ministry FAQs:
What are the typical tasks and responsibilities of this Ministry:
- Assist Priest/Deacon (Presider) prior to and during Baptism ceremony.
- Greet parents, godparents, guests and seat them..
- Set out candles, oil, cloths to wipe away oil, water
- Assist Presider in directing participants during Baptism ceremony.
- Give oil to Presider, light candles from Paschal candle and distribute.
Training: Minimal - 20 minutes of instruction, continued study with manual.
Time Commitment: Varies depending on number of baptisms; no more than twice per month.
