Liturgy of the Word dismissal is the practice of having the children, ages 4-12, depart from the congregation with a catechist during the Liturgy of the Word and gather in a separate environment to engage with the Word at a level more appropriate to the children’s understanding.

Required Skills/Training:
Volunteers are required to attend VIRTUS training and pass a background check. Parish training is also required.
Time Committment:
The children's dismissal occurs at the 10am Mass each weekend. Facilitators should prepare for the week's readings and activities ahead of time.
