Intergenerational Events

Each Religious Education student in Grades 1 through 6 is required to attend a minimum of 6 intergenerational events/programs throughout the year, and parents are asked to minister at least one event. Intergenerational events are broken up into 3 categories: community building, liturgical and service.  Each child is asked to complete a minimum of 2 in each category.  In addition, each parent/guardian is required to volunteer for one event.  Please fill out the participation tracker digitally, as it is due by May 15, 2025.  Thank you for your continued support!

1. Grandparents Day Mass & Breakfast-July 28, 2024, beginning at 10am mass, followed by continental breakfast and craft in Madonna Hall
2. Fall Movie Day-September 22, 2024, beginning at 12pm mass-Spiritual Center
3. Halloween Halls-October 26, 2024, beginning at 4pm mass, following on campus
4. Thanksgiving Food Drive-November TBD-collect food/pack goods in narthex
5. Fall Clean Up-November 16, 2024, Clean-up of parish grounds
6. Decorating the Rotunda for Christmas-December 1, 2024, Spiritual Center
7. Advent Wreath Making-December 1, 2024, Madonna Hall, 11am
8. Light Up a Memory Christmas Tree Lighting- December 14, 2024, beginning at 4pm mass, followed by lighting of Christmas tree and singing of Christmas carols
9. Advent Penance and Reconciliation-December 15, 2024, begins 3pm Chapel
10. Blessing of the Infant Jesus- December 21-4pm mass & December 22-10am mass
11. Nativity Play-December 21, 2024, beginning with 4pm mass following in Theater
12. Fishers of Men-March 5, 2025 Ash Wednesday service, food collection in Narthex, craft and presentation in Madonna Hall
13. Lenten Penance and Reconciliation- April 6, 2025, begins 3pm, Chapel
14. Palm Sunday Palm Weaving-April 13, 2025, beginning at the 10am mass, palm weaving instruction following in Madonna Hall
15. Holy Thursday Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper- April 17, 2025, 7pm
16. Good Friday Passion of the Lord-April 18, 2025, begins 12pm in the church
17. Stations of the Cross-April 19, 2025, begins 3pm on parish grounds
18. Easter Vigil- April 19, 2025, 7pm
19. Easter Egg Hunt- April 27, 2025, beginning at the 12pm mass, followed in Madonna Hall & on parish grounds
20. Spring Clean Up- April TBD 2025-parish grounds
21. May Day-May Crowning-May 3, 2025, begins with craft in Madonna Hall 3pm, followed by 4pm mass and crowning of Mary in the narthex
22. Spring Movie Day- May 11, 2025-Spiritual Center Theater
