Instruments not only add to the beauty and dignity of liturgical celebrations, but are essential to support congregational singing.
Among all other instruments which are suitable for divine worship, the organ is "accorded pride of place" because of its capacity to sustain the singing of a large gathered assembly, due to both its size and its ability to give "resonance to the fullness of human sentiments, from joy to sadness, from praise to lamentation." Likewise, "the manifold possibilities of the organ in some way remind us of the immensity and the magnificence of God." (Sing to the Lord: Music in Divine Worship 87)
The parish owns several musical instruments that are used in our daily worship, special events, and concerts.
Boston 6' Grand Piano
The grand piano in the church was purchased through fundraising efforts in the early 2000s, and is used for weekend liturgies, weddings, funerals, and concerts.
Rudy Lucente RL-66 custom organ (Allen Organ Co.)
Installed prior to Christmas 2023, this state of the art organ is a Rudy Lucente designer series 3 manual digital instrument, custom-voiced by Mr. Lucente and resident organist Andrew Macirowski. The 66-stop instrument features the highest quality samples from pipe organs around the world, and due to the latest in organ technology, is a completely unique instrument.
